As October comes to a close, we reflect on National Safe Work Month and the opportunity it gave us to reinforce our commitment to health and safety across all areas of OEM Group®.
This year’s theme — “Safety: Every Job, Every Day” — was brought to life through a series of weekly activities and visual campaigns that reminded us that safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Weekly Poster Series
Throughout the month, we rolled out a series of posters featuring our team members, each focusing on a key safety theme:
- Body Protection Awareness – “Your body is your life – Safety every job, every day.”
- Hazard Identification – “Spot hazards before you start – Stay safe.”
- Hazard Reporting – “Reporting helps everyone. It’s your responsibility and your right.”
These messages highlighted how every individual plays a vital role in maintaining a safe workplace — from recognising hazards to protecting themselves and others.
Safety Pause Activity
Our teams also took part in a Safety Pause, where we came together to identify potential hazards, discuss health and safety concerns, and work collaboratively on practical solutions. The session also included a walkthrough of our Hazard Report Form — giving everyone a chance to see how easy it is to use. This activity reinforced that safety isn’t just a management concern — it starts with each of us.
